DOEN JANG JJI GAE(Soybean paste soup)

 This soybean paste has been popular among Koreans for over 2,000 years. The ingredients consist of soybeans,salt and water, which are combined with natural elements,such as sun and wind. Doenjang has been scientifically proven to help prevent cancer. People from all over the world come to Korea to enjoy this soybean paste.

It is used in casseroles or mixed with fresh mountain herbs, there are various ways to cook DOEN JANG JJI GAE.

As Here, we introduce a way to cook it.

INGREDIENT (For 4 people)

 

DOENJANG 85g(Purchaced in Korean grocery)

Seafood broth(from dried anchovy, salt, garlic or instant seafood sauce"Meol-Chi-Da-Si-Da")

Beef scotch fillet 90g(diced)

Shallot 20g

Tofu 250g(sliced)

Zucchini 1/2(chopped)

Green chiily 1ea(chopped)

Red chilly 1ea(chopped)

Mushroom 30g(chopped)

Potato medium size 1ea(quarter sliced)

 

How to cook

 

1.     Stir beef, potato and mushroom in a heated pot for 2 minutes.

2.     Pour the broth and dissolve Doen-jang in the pot(1).

3.     Boil it for 4 minutes and let it simmer for 10 minutes more.

4.     Add  tofu, zucchini, red chilly, green chilly and boil it for 2 minutes.
